Giuliano Stroe - a 5 year old romanian as strongest child World Records Book

Giuliano Stroe, a romanian child aged 5 is the strongest kid in the world guinness book.

At just 5-years-old, Romanian preschooler Giuliano Stroe isn’t even old enough for own gym membership, but the boy’s sub-human strength has landed him a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Giuliano, who began lifting weights at ago two, has set a record as the “World’s Strongest Kid” after, embarking on the fastest ever 10-meter hand walk with a weight ball between his legs. Stroe and his six-pack abs evolved into a YouTube sensation — we’re talking Chris Crocker-style, baby — when his skills were showcased on an Italian TV show last summer. The Herculean kid’s parents continue to embrace their son’s bodybuilding, although it is likely very unhealthy for a child to begin weight-training at such a tender age.

Nokia N900 Close Up

Nokia’s next tablet device is designed in the same vein as their N810, albeit significantly more polished. Though it doesn’t appear to have an official name as of yet, it’s referred to internally as “N900″, “Rover”, or “Maemo Flagship”. We’ll be referring to this device as the N900 for the rest of this post, though it’s quite possible that this name will change.

The N900 is very similar to the Nokia N97 aesthetically, having a 3.5″ touchscreen above a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and many of the same design features. However, the screen of the N900 is significantly higher resolution (800×480 as opposed to 360×640) and, unlike that of the N97, does not tilt up. Additionally, the N900 does not appear to feature the navi-keys found on the slide-out layer of the N97. And, of course, it runs Maemo rather than S60.

2010 KAWASAKI NINJA ZX-10R (Superbike)

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R motorcycle represents the evolution in Kawasaki Heavy Industries open-class sportbike development. Originally released for the 2004 model year, the ZX-10R Superbike is the successor to the Ninja ZX-9R sportbike. Since inception, the Ninja ZX-10R has received two major overhauls.

Initially Kawasaki’s ZX-10 Superbike was known for its slim chassis dimensions, nimble handling manners, svelte weight and tremendous engine power output making it the sharpest, most aggressive liter-class sportbike. It was so cutting-edge that it was deemed to be almost too much for the motorcycling public. Thus in 2006 Kawasaki gave the Ninja ZX-10 its first revamp. Noteworthy changes included a more rider-friendly chassis and engine power manners as well as all-new exterior styling.

For the 2008 model year the Ninja ZX-10R received its most recent make-over consisting of a complete redesign from the wheels up. In its current iteration the ZX-10 uses the best attributes of both previous designs. The ZX10 keeps its outrageously powerful 998cc liquid-cooled Inline-Four, yet its engine power is extremely rider friendly. Likewise its agile handling traits return without comprising overall stability and control. In the styling department, the Ninja is cued heavily off the Kawasaki ZX-RR MotoGP motorcycle using sharp exterior lines, a slim tail section and a short, tucked-away exhaust.

The all new 2010 honda VFR1200F

onda just unveiled its all-new 2010 VFR1200F sport touring bike and MotoUSA got a chance to check it out at Honda's U.S. headquarters in Torrance, California.

Starting with a blank sheet of paper and highlighted by a V-4 engine and optional dual-clutch automatic transmission, Big Red calls this machine a future look into for their two-wheeled brand. Can you say: V-4 powered CBR sportbike? Who knows, but it sure makes my glands salivate. For now, here’s a look at the details on the 2010 VFR.

According to Honda, the idea was to create “a futuristic sport motorcycle for the sheer joy of riding, custom tailored for experienced hands who ride hard, ride long, ride far and ride often.” With a “MotoGP derived” V-4 engine at the heart of this mega-mileage sportbike, it features “a unique cylinder layout with rear two cylinders located innermost on the crankshaft and front cylinders located outboard.” This is said to narrow the rider interface aboard the VFR1200F.

19 Pound Baby Born To Indonesian Woman (Photos)

A woman in Jakarta, Indonesia has delivered a 19.2-pound, 2-foot-long baby on Monday via Caesarean section. Read more on this story below!

The huge baby is said to have a cry that sounds more like a roar and a huge appetite!

The baby sets the birth weight record for a newborn in Indonesia, although it’s shy of the world record of 23 pounds set in 1879. The huge size of the baby was likely caused by his mother having gestational diabetes.

The baby’s mother named Ani thankfully didn’t have to push the gigantic baby out… can you imagine? But the c-section to deliver the child was still difficult.

“This heavy baby made the surgery really tough, especially the process of taking him out of his mum’s womb,” Dr. Binsar Sitanggang told Agence France-Presse. “His legs were so big.”

The 19 pound baby’s weight is closer to that of a one year old toddler. And in the photo taken beside a baby of normal weight at birth, he appears to be triple his size.

The huge baby boy wants to eat constantly. “He’s got a strong appetite, it’s almost nonstop feeding,” Dr. Sitanggang told the news agency.

“This baby boy is extraordinary; the way he’s crying is not like a usual baby. It’s really loud.”

Cruising will be big in 2010: Experts predict record year

Cruising is on the upswing: bigger ships, new destinations, more deals, a wider variety of choices and more passengers. 2010 is expected be a record year for the U.K. cruise market, with more British holidaymakers than ever before taking to the seas, according to the popular cruise reviews and news site, CruiseCritic.co.uk.

Unlike many other holiday sectors, cruise travel weathered the recession well. According to the Passenger Shipping Association, 1.5 million people in Britain took cruises in 2008 and, despite the tough economy, similar figures are expected for 2009. 2010, however, will see a host of new ships serving the U.K. and European markets, increasing capacity and stimulating continued growth over the next 12 months.

So, what does next year hold for the U.K. cruise market? CruiseCritic.co.uk has consulted its crystal ball—and team of cruise experts—to offer this look at U.K. cruise trends for 2010.

“In short, British holidaymakers have discovered cruising, and they’re hooked,” explains Carolyn Spencer Brown, editor in chief for CruiseCritic.co.uk. “It’s hard to resist a ‘resort’ that floats to the next port of call while you sit by the pool. It’s the ultimate for relaxing and sightseeing. Factor in the tremendous deals we’re currently seeing, the vast range of activities available onboard, plus the easy-to-budget inclusive pricing—and it’s no wonder cruise travel is on the up.”

“2010 will offer British travellers a wider choice of ships, destinations, itineraries, deals and cruise styles than ever before,” continued Spencer Brown. “You really need to do your homework beforehand and find the cruise line and ship that offer the type of holiday you want—formal or informal, family or romantic, relaxing or action-packed. And, with the completion of the engineering marvel that is the mammoth, 5,400-passenger Oasis of the Seas later this year, we’re entering a whole new phase of cruising.”

Why 09/09/09 Is So Special

Have special plans this 09/09/09?

Everyone from brides and grooms to movie studio execs are celebrating the upcoming calendrical anomaly in their own way.

In Florida, at least one county clerk's office is offering a one-day wedding special for $99.99. The rarity of this Sept. 9 hasn't been lost on the creators of the iPod, who have moved their traditional Tuesday release day to Wednesday to take advantage of the special date. Focus Features is releasing their new film "9," an animated tale about the apocalypse, on the 9th.

Not only does the date look good in marketing promotions, but it also represents the last set of repeating, single-digit dates that we'll see for almost a century (until January 1, 2101), or a millennium (mark your calendars for January 1, 3001), depending on how you want to count it.

Though technically there's nothing special about the symmetrical date, some concerned with the history and meaning of numbers ascribe powerful significance to 09/09/09.

For cultures in which the number nine is lucky, Sept. 9 is anticipated - while others might see the date as an ominous warning.

NY Man's Next Blood Donation Will Be Gallon No. 40

A New York man is donating his 320th pint of blood this week, making him one of two people in the U.S. who has given 40 gallons.

Seventy-five-year-old Al Fischer of Massapequa (mass-ah-PEE'-kwah) plans to reach the milestone Tuesday, 58 years after he started giving blood.

According to a New York Blood Center official, only 83-year-old Maurice Wood has donated more blood than Fischer. Wood is a retired railroad inspector from St. Louis.

Fischer, a print shop operator, donates blood about six times a year. He says he and Wood are engaged in a friendly rivalry and last spoke to each other a few months ago.

Long Island Blood Services executive director Harvey Schaffler says Fischer has helped almost 1,000 people

Why Women Are Really Afraid Of Spiders

Women who run for cover when coming face-to-face with a spider have been offered a new explanation for their phobia: it is in their genes.

Research at a US university found females associate the eight-legged critters with fear more than males, most of whom react with indifference.

Psychologist Dr David Rakison from Pittsburgh's Carnegie Mellon University tested 10 girls and 10 boys, all aged 11-months, with pictures of spiders to see how they reacted.

He showed them images of a spider next to a fearful cartoon face and a spider next to a happy face.

Dr Rakison's report, published in the New Scientist, states that the girls looked at the picture containing a happy face for longer than the scared one.

However, the boys looked at both images for an equal amount of time.

China Web sites seeking users' names

News Web sites in China, complying with secret government orders, are requiring that new users log on under their true identities to post comments, a shift in policy that the country's Internet users and media have fiercely opposed in the past.

Until recently, users could weigh in on news items on many of the affected sites more anonymously, often without registering at all, though the sites were obligated to screen all posts, and the posts could still be traced via Internet protocol addresses.

But in early August, without notification of a change, news portals like Sina, Netease, Sohu, and scores of other sites began asking unregistered users to sign in under their real names and identification numbers, said top editors at two of the major portals affected. A Sina staff member also confirmed the change.

The editors said the sites were putting into effect a confidential directive issued in late July by the State Council Information Office, one of the main government bodies responsible for supervising the Internet in China.

The new step is not foolproof, the editors acknowledged. It was possible for a reporter to register successfully on several major sites under falsified names and ID and cellphone numbers.

Wireless high-def battle goes overseas

BERLIN--Though still struggling to find homes in the hearts of consumers in North America, the two competing standards for wireless high-definition home video have taken their battle on the road.

Here at IFA, several companies showed products using either WirelessHD, which uses the 60GHz band to send signals, or WHDI, which operates in the 5GHz band.

Philips, which has shown wireless HD kits at the Computer Electronics Show for several years, is giving it a go in Europe too. The new kit comes with a transmitter and receiver pair that can send up to 1080p signals at 30 frames per second (fps) at a range of about 65 feet. Toshiba and Funai also demonstrated similar versions of WirelessHD adapters here.

Long the domain of big brand names in electronics, promising wireless HDMI products has now even come to smaller and regional manufacturers. Three new companies demonstrated TVs that receive high-definition signals without wires: Haier, Vestel, and TCL, all using the WHDI standard. If you haven't heard of any of those three, you'd be excused since one is more known for its air conditioners and washing machines, another makes white-label TVs, and the third is sold mainly in Europe.

Dating agency breaking hearts

PEOPLE are being warned against joining a NSW dating service following reports victims were fleeced of thousands of dollars in their quest for love.

Fair Trading Minister Virginia Judge said the government had uncovered a series of complaints from consumers and was taking steps to ban TLC Consulting Services.

She said a Fair Trading investigation found the Tweed Heads company had used misleading and deceptive tactics to induce people to sign expensive contracts for dating services, life coaching and grooming packages.

Some victims reported paying up to $35,000 and $110,000 but received nothing in return

Evidence also existed that the company had preyed on emotionally vulnerable people struggling to find a partner because they had a disability or lived in remote areas, Ms Judge said.

"This company will not find you true love but will leave you with a broken heart and an empty wallet," she said.

"The conduct of this company is unconscionable.

"It is important we stop the unscrupulous operators from breaking any more hearts."

Afghan election fraud row mounts

A row over alleged fraud in the Afghan presidential election has intensified, after a tribe in the south made the most serious claim so far.

The leader of Kandahar's Bareez tribe says that nearly 30,000 votes were cast fraudulently for President Hamid Karzai instead of a challenger.

Mr Karzai's brother, Ahmed Wali Karzai, who heads the Kandahar provincial council, called the claims "baseless".

The Electoral Complaints Commission is probing more than 2,000 fraud claims.

The claims could undermine the legitimacy of the election, which Afghanistan's Western allies see as crucial in their campaign against the Taliban.

Full investigation

Speaking to Daud Qarizadah of the BBC's Persian television service, the Bareez tribal leader, Haji Mohammed Bareez, said that ballot boxes from one district were "stuffed" with fraudulent votes in favour of Mr Karzai.

The tribe believes it has been deprived of its votes and wants a full investigation by the complaints commission, which has the power to throw them out if they are proved invalid.
The tribe decided before the election that it was dissatisfied with the performance of Hamid Karzai and announced it would back Abdullah Abdullah, the former foreign minister and main challenger.

On election day it says its district polling stations were shut down and the ballot boxes brought to district headquarters in Kandahar where they were stuffed with votes in favour of Hamid Karzai.
